It was a long drive there Sunday but we stopped in San Marcos and did some shopping and stretch our legs. As soon as we got to Corpus Christi, we dropped off our stuff and took a stroll on the beach.

That night, John took me to this lovely restaurant on the 20th floor of a fancy hotel. I think the resturant was called Republic of Texas. We had a view of the ocean from our table. I told John a while ago that I really wanted to try creme brulee for our anniversary. And guess what the restaurant had for dessert!! I was so excited! My Johnny Wony did a good job planning this date! We made sure to take our time eating and drinking so we could watch the sun go down and see the bridge and the USS Lexington light up.

Wednesday I think we were starting to get bored. We went to Port Aransas ( I had a super hard time saying this for some reason) because we heard it was cool place to go. Not really... We went to the beach which had even more jellyfish, we looked at souvenir shops and ate at a not so great fish place. The only cool thing was boarding the ferry and seeing dolphins swimming beside it. We drove back to the condo hung out, snacked, drank and packed up.
Today is Thursday and we tried to get up early and watch the sunrise but I couldn't wake up and John said it was cloudy any way. It was a really long drive home. I'm excited to get sleep in my bed tonight and not be covered in sand.
All in all it was a relaxing trip, I just think we were expecting something like California with bars and boardwalks along the beach. I'm glad I got that quiet and quality time to spend with my husband. I'm looking forward to many years together.
